TECHNICAL INFORMATION
GENERAL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION, UHMW-PE
Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polymer is a linear polyethylene with a molecular weight in the
range of 3,000,000 to 6,000,000. The high molecular weight is what gives the polymer it's
unique properties. UHMW-PE does not melt or flow as a molten liquid so it can not be
processed by conventional plastic molding methods (injection molding, blow molding,
thermoforming or screw extrusion). NAU uses proprietary compression molding techniques
that makes our products stronger and more consistent.
